Staying up to see a new year come in isn’t something I’ve done in a while. The expression ‘older and wiser’ plays a big part in it and you’d think I would have reaped the benefits of that wisdom, but oh no. I had to stay up. See the clock hit midnight and shout out ‘Happy new year!’ And now I’m spending the day foggy headed and tired. See? That’s what I get.
But I sallied forth this morning making myself some gecko coffee.
Let’s face it, I’m not a night owl kind of guy. Nope, no way. I finally got myself a very welcomed 2 hour nap and woke up feeling much more like myself.
Karen spent the day re-aclamating to the UK and having a, um, spirited conversation with Liz. One that I suspect will be revisited again.
David spent the day driving up to see Tammi and that’s 12 hours of road time I coudn’t pull off in the state I was in.
Mark spent the day… doing whatever. I called him yesterday, but no reply. Didn’t hear from him today either. Guess he’s in another of his ‘off the radar’ phases.
So, there you have it. Day one. Three hundred and sixty four days left.
